Music Video Review:
Blink 182 - Always

Song: Always
Artist: Blink 182
Director: Joseph Kahn
Year: 2004

This is a really cool concept for a music video. Very simple effect which works out awesome. Obviously the split frame wouldn’t really work for film but it’s a great idea for a music video and here it works out great. The theme of splitting the frame 3 times, doing the sequence 3 different ways, and the fact that there are 3 band members all comes together very nicely. I really haven’t seen anything like this done before, and I didn’t even catch this video until years later, it seemed to not get any air time. The director, Joseph Kahn, has some other good music videos. He actually ventured to film and directed Torque. Which was awful. Hopefully he’ll stick to music videos. I think this one is incredibly underrated.
